The acquisition file goes to court: land acquisition under the Environment Act takes shape

A single bypass around a town of six thousand people required three plots of land. It produced eighteen months of proceedings and two rulings from the highest administrative court. The first case law on expropriation under the Environment Act shows that the negotiation process itself is now subject to judicial review.
